Preschool Program

AGES 3 to 4

Our bilingual preschool program in Paris welcomes children ages 3 to 4. Children learn and interact in English and French every day in an environment designed for the early years.

Through play, exploration, and age-appropriate activities, children gradually develop their language skills, curiosity, independence, and ability to interact with others. Bilingual learning takes place within a bicultural Canadian and French environment, where both languages are a natural part of everyday life.

At the end of the preschool program, students continue into Kindergarten in our Primary School Program.

The British Columbia Early Learning Framework

Our preschool program is guided by the British Columbia Early Learning Framework, which recognizes that every child learns and develops at their own pace.

Play, exploration, relationships, and discovery are central to learning. The experiences offered support each child’s social, emotional, physical, intellectual, and linguistic development while recognizing and valuing the different cultures, languages, and experiences children bring to the classroom.

The Areas of Early Learning

The British Columbia Early Learning Framework identifies four areas of early learning:

Well-being and Belonging

Well-being and a sense of belonging help children develop positive relationships with others and with the world around them.

Exploration and Creativity

Exploration, play, and creativity encourage children to discover, experiment, and develop their curiosity.

Languages and Literacies

Language and literacy development helps children communicate, express themselves, and gradually build their understanding of the world.

Social Responsibility and Diversity

Children learn to engage with others, consider different perspectives, and develop respect for diversity and the world around them.

Through these four areas, our preschool program offers children a variety of experiences that foster their development, curiosity, and enthusiasm for learning in both English and French.

What Parents are saying

"

The safe, caring, and nurturing environment the school has cultivated has been instrumental in his "normalization" after the difficulties we experienced leaving Ukraine and his further development and growth. During his time at school, my son has learned to speak two new languages—a testament to the excellent language programs and dedicated teachers at the school. Beyond academics, he has gained beautiful experiences and had a great time with classmates who have enriched his childhood, helping him become more confident and independent. The commitment to each student’s well-being and success is at the heart of your institution!
