Grades 10, 11 and 12
(ages 15 to 18)
Our bilingual high school program in Paris welcomes students in Grades 10 to 12 and prepares them for university studies in Canada, France, and around the world. The British Columbia Certificate of Graduation (Dogwood Diploma) is internationally recognized and allows our graduates to apply to universities in Canada, France, and abroad. Students deepen their knowledge across different subject areas while developing critical thinking, independence, research, and communication skills.
Throughout these years, students learn in English and French within a bicultural Canadian and French environment. The program prepares them for university studies and for the Dogwood Diploma.

British Columbia Graduation Program
The B.C Graduation Program is a three (3) year program for students in Grades 10 to 12. The B.C. Graduation Program provides students the opportunity to discover what they want to do in the future. Students will use these years to learn, discover, grow, explore and try new things, while choosing the path that best reflects their interests and dreams.
The Dogwood Diploma - At a Glance
The B.C. Certificate of Graduation or ‘Dogwood Diploma’ is awarded to students who successfully complete the provincial graduation requirement.
Students require a minimum of 80 credits to graduate.
Of these 80 credits:
- At least 16 credits must be at the Grade 12 level, including a required Language Arts 12
- At least 28 credits must be elective course credits
- 52 credits are required from the following:
- Career-Life Education (4 credits), and Career-Life Connections (4 credits)
- Physical and Health Education 10 (4 credits)
- Science 10 (4 credits), and a Science 11 or 12 (4 credits)
- Social Studies 10 (4 credits), and a Social Studies 11 or 12 (4 credits)
- A Math 10 (4 credits), and a Math 11 or 12 (4 credits)
- A Language Arts 10, 11 and a required 12 (12 credits total)
- An Arts Education 10, 11, or 12 and/or an Applied Design, Skills, and Technologies 10, 11, or 12 (4 credits total)
The provincial graduation requirements also include three (3) provincial graduation assessments:
- Grade 10 Numeracy Assessment
- Grade 10 Literacy Assessment
- Grade 12 Literacy Assessment

The Governor General Academic Award
The Governor General’s Academic Medal was first awarded in 1873 by the Earl of Dufferin, and has since become one of the most prestigious awards that a student in a Canadian educational institution can receive.
The bronze academic medal is awarded to the student who achieves and maintains the highest academic average in Grades 10 through 12 upon graduation.
To maintain a spirit of universality, the bronze medal is awarded based on academic marks only, regardless of the more intangible qualities of a student’s life, such as good citizenship, moral behaviour, or popularity.
